Some inspirational Quotes.

So for those of you who know me..then you know I used to be a "poet" of some sort. I love quotes and gathering thoughts in my own head and then later spewing them out onto endless piles of notebooks, diary's, journals, or any other piece of writable material I could find at my disposal before I flushed them out with an overtaking of new material from encounters with others that brought new thoughts and feelings that needed an escape before they were forgotten and pushed into an endless oblivion that I called my mind. So today things were slow at work so I was playing around and found some quotes that really touched my little soul and thought I would share. So here they are, I hope you enjoy and stay warm and blessed.

Stefany

Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.

This has been my life; I found it worth living.

-Bertrand Russell

Every artist was first an amateur.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Men spend their lives in anticipations,in determining to be vastly happy at some period when they have time. But the present time has one advantage over every otherit is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. We may lay in a stock of pleasures, as we would lay in a stock of wine; but if we defer the tasting of them too long, we shall find that both are soured by age.

Another GlamCouture Session

Today was awesome! It's so much fun to be behind the camera but it's also another kind of fun to be in front of the camera. I have learned so much from doing these sessions with her. Not only is she an amazing photographer she is also a good teacher! So I don't have the images to post yet but as soon as I do, I will put them up so you can see once again how amazing her work is. Also for anyone who is interested in having their own GlamCouture shots done don't hesitate to call her! It awesome to go in there your old plain jane self and be made to look like a runway model. Trust me when I say this because this is coming from a girly tomboy who does not wear makeup and just bought her first pair of heels about 6 months ago!!! So trust me she does an amazing job! Have a blessed day!

GlamCouture Shots by Thomasina...Photography by Thomasina.

Well ladies and gentlemen she has done it again! Thomasina's photography is truly ART! I was a guinea pig for her as she is getting together a portfolio for this new type of session. She wants to bring back "Glamor Shots" but with a more modern look. She has done an amazing job and I know that you will all think so as well. It was so much fun doing this and again I send her my thanks for asking me to take part. Well enough rambling and on with the pics! Thanks for stopping by and have a bless day! PEACE!

James River Fountain

Ok so the other day I was driving to Lynchburg and came across the fountain that they have put there. All around it was nothing but ICE from where it has gotten so cold and the water blew on all the brush around it to make it look like a winter wonderland. I had to take pics because, one I knew it wouldn't last that long and two, it is so cool to see how it covered such a massive area just by the water falling from the air to everything around it. So here are a few to share. Hope you enjoy!

Ok so I was playing around going through some pictures and decided I wanted to post some of the pictures that I had made by Thomasina Metts. She is an amazing photographer and has done such an awesome job of photographing my girls. My first time meeting her and doing a session with her made me realize that there are more talented way better photographers than at these "local locations". ( I won't mention names) After using her I will never go back to one of those places and she will always (hopefully) be my photographer. So with all that said I want to show these because I just adore them and if you are in need of a photographer who will do an amazing job and has an awesome personality then don't hesitate to call her. Here is a link to her website www.photographybythomasina.com.
